We Will Follow Principles Of Quaid-e-Azam, Not Extremists: Fawad Chaudhary Slams Atif Mian’s Critics

Selection of World’s renowned economist Dr Atif R Mian as part of Imran Khan’s Economic Advisory Council (EAC) has sparked an outrage from the reactionary right wing. Selected as a private sector member of EAC and will be serving on council for the very first time. 11 members on EAC have previously served on Ishaq Dar’s council as well.
Each government selects its own EAC, comprising on members from the private sector in addition with seven official members including the Finance Minister.

Nullifying all his achievements and the fact that he outshines every other member on EAC with his calibre, the political and religious reactants has launched a hate campaign against him using his faith as a reason.

Dr Atif is the first and only man of Pakistani origin to be named in IMFs ‘top 25 brightest young economists’.

In only 39 years of age, Atif is the most prominent economist on the world media to discuss the subject of debt and international markets. His latest book ‘House of Debt’ has made quite a mark and he is expected to win Nobel Prize for his tireless and significant contributions to the field.

Responding to all the criticism on his appointment, Fawad Chaudhary has shut down all the political elements and religious quarters cashing on it saying that the appointment is purely on merit. He said that protecting our minorities is our equal responsibility. Fawad made it clear that the present government will follow in the footsteps of Quaid e Azam, not of extremists.
